1) yup, I just read the guidelines and will be adapting the code to them.
2) no problem.
3) yup, going to add many more, intersects, etc. I also have implementations of fast polyline simplifications that I use etc. that will go in there. It's all my code mostly. Implementations from papers etc.
I was just gauging whether or not there was any interest in my doing this... For me, PHP is a bit frustrating because of the lack of data structures and their manipulation, so I was quite happy when I found PECL and the extensions.
Anyhow for a first go, the ability to easily transform the WKB representations into PHP arrays should help.

Hello Vincent, Alright, couple of points: 1) Please use C style comments and not C++ (/* */ instead of //) 2) You should rename anmgis.h to php_anmgis.h to be compatible with the rest of PECL 3) Are you planning on adding more than pointInPolygon (Intersects, touches, etc)? Rest looks good. I would love to see a complete implementation of many geographical manipulation functions, I don't know if this is your long time plan or not (eg: distance between polygons that do not rely on MBR).
