Can you try removing the generated files first. "Version mismatch error. This is libtool 2.4, but the libtool: definition of this LT_INIT comes from an older release" sounds like it's having some files from a build using a different libtool version lying around. If a clean checkout doesn't work: Can you try compiling some other extension, to ensure the buildtools you have installed work with the PHP build infrastructure code? > > One thing I did not realize yesterday is that you're using the type > > "LONG". On Windows an int32_t as long is fine (also on 64bit), is there some otherp lace it's defined for other OSs? Mixing 32 and 64 bit types can be a mess otherwise. btw. if you consider any of my comments useful for others: Feel free to add it to https://wiki.php.net/internals/engine once you have an account ... and I really should sit down and incorporate that into php.net/internals2 ... johannes
