Ok....
:)
Still no luck.
I moved files around, I symbolically linked, I installed the pdflib rpm, I
double and triple check libtiff and libjpeg, I download the CVS tree every
day and try, but no no no luck.
My system, a pentium 90 (AT&T Globalyst 600) With 1GB SCSI drive (it's the
prototype machine...) Running Redhat Linux 6.0 with all the development
libraries, etc.
I'm running Apache 1.3.6.
I compile using:
./configure --with-apxs=/use/sbin/apxs --with-mysql \
--with-libtiff=/usr/lib --with-libjpeg=/usr/lib \
--with-pdflib
All the libraries are where they are supposed to be. libpdf2.01.so/.a is in
about 9 directories now, and they are symbolically linked to libpdf2.0.so/.a
and libpdf.so/.a.
And it still dies out on me with:
checking for PDF_close in -lpdf... no
configure: error: pdflib extension requires pdflib 2.x. You may as well need
libtiff and libjpeg. In such a case use the options ...
It must be something I am doing, but I haven't a clue what it could be. What
am I missing?
And again, if it's of any use to anyone, here's the end of config.log:
