CVS update :) We added the -B switch to flex++ which tells it not to work in interactive mode but read blocks of data. The regular C scanner is smart enough to know whether it is running interactively or not, the C++ scanner isn't. Andi At 10:25 AM 9/8/99 -0400, Rasmus Lerdorf wrote:

Aha. I count exactly 28 bytes in that script. 25 chars and 3 carriage
it's not exactly the number of bytes in the file, but it's very near (maybe empty lines don't count)... Well, a quick check would be to make the script twice as long and see if the calls to yy_get_previous_state doubles. i've reproduced the same behaviour with the flex++ sample from the flex man-page. maybe we should ask the flex-guys what to do - as i have no idea how flex works i would perfer if you could ask them. I can, but Zeev and Andi probably have the best grasp on the latest flex stuff. I know the bison code pretty well having hunted all through it trying to debug some stuff once, but I am not that familiar with the flex code. -Rasmus -- PHP 4 Beta
