Some progress - I still get the DOS box for the CGI version, but for the ISAPI dll, I get a plain text listing - alas the code does not get executed :-( Do I have to get rid of PHP3 before I install 4? Do you know if this is the same .reg file that I will need for IIS5/Win2000ASE and PWS5/Win2000PRO? > > > > I downloaded the release verion from the site this week and the ".inf" > > file > > promised in the read me is not there. > > It's called php.ini-dist you need to rename it and place it in > your windows > directory. My mistake - was talking about the reg file, but got it wrong, and didn't realise until I had sent. > Are you calling it through the webserver? eg. > http://127.0.0.1/foo.php not > file:///E|/usr/var/pub/dev/htdocs/foo.php Yup, actually using localhost, but same diff. I have got execute/script/read aces on the folder - this is okay with php3, is it still okay with PHP4? > The reg file attached will make the settings so that .php files > are handled by > the exe and .php4 files are handled by the dll. I wish that it did :-( > Andrew Thanks for being so quick though! Mikey
