Hello Mikey,
This is a mail in response to the question you asked on the php-windows
mailing list.
I experienced the same problem you had, missing the file and not getting
php to work despite editing the registry (working with PWS 4.0 and Win98)
Did you get it working and if so, how?
What are the exact registry settings? (I did change some settings
following the discussion, but still can't seem to get it to work)
Can you help me with this?
Thanks for your attention,
Philip
Sorry Philip, but nothing I tried seemed to work. I have e-mailed php.net
but have had no reply, and there have been no further postings from the
list.
I have decided to abandon using PHP4 until they have a complete release.
The ".inf" file that was supplied with PHP did more than set registry keys.
I am most disappointed with the way this release has been handled and the
lack of a fix. I am trying to move my company towards using PHP more in
projects. However, with this little support and no recourse how can I
recommmend this as a viable alternative?
Regards,
Mikey
