OLE/COM stuff - let's have some fun with Word and Acrobat!

Hello all, I'm not much of a programmer, let that be said. I have a need for coworkers to be able to upload a Word file, then have PHP turn it into a renamed Acrobat file. Then have PHP make pages and query an index of the files. As far as uploading the Word file, querying the index and spitting out the results... I've got that, no problem. What I don't have is the whole PDF making thing. I'm guessing that with COM I could open those Word files and have them saved using the PDFmaker function in Word. They don't need to be anything fancy, and all of the documents are very standard 8 1/2 x 11 text documents. Alain, I know you watch this group. If it wasn't for your article on PHPBuilder, I wouldn't have dreamed this impossible, so you have an obligation to add your two cents! :) Thanks in advance everyone.
