Originally, the idea is to see if PHP COM can be used to solve John's problem. I just checked and can't see any COM object for PdfMaker in Word. But there is the possibility to write a macro that would do the job, then run the macro from PHP COM. John try that if you wish and see how it works, let us know... Well, yes & no... as Distiller Assistant is a print driver that runs on the machine where Acrobat 4 (or earlier) is installed, and you can print from any application into Distiller (the print driver prints from the app to a postscript file, and then Distiller reads the postscript file into a PDF format) - all in one simple action.
