try the sendkeys VBA function like : Dim ReturnValue, I ReturnValue = Shell("CALC.EXE", 1) ' Run Calculator. AppActivate ReturnValue ' Activate the Calculator. For I = 1 To 100 ' Set up counting loop. SendKeys I & "{+}", True ' Send keystrokes to Calculator Next I ' to add each value of I. SendKeys "=", True ' Get grand total. SendKeys "%{F4}", True ' Send ALT+F4 to close Calculator. I've got it straight out of Access97 help :) According to the MSDN it should be availlable in both VBA en VB script. -----Original Message----- From: Asendorf, John [mailto:JAsendorf@lcounty.com] Sent: Tuesday, October 10, 2000 8:42 PM To: Php-Windows (E-mail) Subject: RE: [PHP-WIN] OLE/COM stuff - let's have some fun with Word andAcrobat! OK, I'm most of the way there, I think. I have started a macro... but it requires some interaction and I don't know VB well enough to fix it. It starts with opening the document (probably to be done in PHP) then prints the document using the PDF Distiller or PDF Maker (problem exists using either)... then it asks for a Save As name and location (Save As dialog box) which then requires a user interaction. The default is fine... How do I tell the macro to go ahead and save (like a user pressing the [Save] button"? --------------------- John Asendorf - jasendorf@lcounty.com Web Applications Developer http://www.lcounty.com - NEW FEATURES ADDED DAILY!
