That's not entirely true. ODBC will allow you to access the Access db on
Windows from any PHP machine, be it Windows, Linux, etc.
Setting up PHP to use ODBC on a *nix box requires an ODBC Driver Manager and
an ODBC Driver.
A HOWTO for linking PHP with the driver manager (as well as the driver
manager itself) can be found at www.iodbc.org.
