No, there is no new method. --with-apxs or --with-apache is used in both
PHP3 and PHP4. --with-apxs is used to build libphp?.so which can be
loaded into an existing Apache binary without recompiling
Apache. --with-apache is for building a static libmodphp?.a which gets
put into the Apache build tree and gets linked into a static libphp?.a
library when you build Apache.
