Maybe a fault of my vision but when i do: $a = 1; $b = &$a; $c = &b; Shouldn't be $c be a reference direct to $a then and so not be nested? Please correct me if im wrong and point me in the direction why nested referenced can be handy Greetz, Wicow>> stas, w>> have you followed? what do you think? I think this is impossible. Sweeping all the symbol table to recover references is not an option, and won't also catch "deep" references. is_ref flag is serving different purpose. If you think I'm wrong, please prove me wrong - show me the code. I see no way to do it now.I´ve actually no C code (did not tell that I have), if I had it was in the tree already :) I´ve just noticed that I can do it user land (crappy speed) browsing the $GLOBALS and I think it´s *still* faster than creating instances which use references from the scratch on session page. Deep references can be caught (if "deep" means referenced references) but will perhaps drain performance if deeply nested.
Are you really sure that´s not an option (at least a workaround until/if caught later)? Otherwise there´s really no way I could think of without introducing a reference hash or similar. regards --o----------0-¬---------O-·---¬----o---®-----o o O ° . | http://www.kiffen.de | pRoteçt y0ur bRaín |0 O ° ¤ ° ·0°·³°²'²³-¹'³´³°^°³~³²³°'³²²¨³²^³¹³²°²³`³º³°Þ ° o © ° . ·| psychedelic experience | gott@kiffen.de | O ° o °o-¬--o--0-----©-·--O-----o-----0-¤----------o 0 ° · ° . ¤ · -- PHP Development Mailing List <http://www.php.net/> To unsubscribe, e-mail: php-dev-unsubscribe@lists.php.net For additional commands, e-mail: php-dev-help@lists.php.net To contact the list administrators, e-mail: php-list-admin@lists.php.net
