Correct. There are a lot of decompilers out there for Java. If you
really want to hide stuff, write a PHP extension and distribute the binary
shared library. This way you can hide the critical business logic while
still allowing your clients to modify the look and feel and any
non-critical stuff. And writing a PHP extension is getting easier and
easier.
Besides, the correct way to handle something like this is not through
hiding your code, but through a licensing agreement with your customers.
