Hi!
Have you compiled
./configure -with-gd --with-jpeg-dir ...
make
make install
and also don"t forget to restart apache
kill -s USR1
cat /var/run/httpd.pid
(gracefull-restart is my favourite)
Also only compiling the jpeglib isn't enough, you have to recompile the
GDlib and further you'll need the zlib.
Refer to http://www.boutell.com/gd/ for the gdlib.
