Greetings all,
I have been following this topic and see that there hvae been some very
intelligent solutions posted, which is not suprising as there are some great
minds who read this list.
Anyway, getting a "hard copy " paper agreement is the best i dont dispute
that, but what about guys like me who are doing deals over the net with
people around 1000 miles away?
The chance of getting a paper contract is extremly slim and we cant ignore
this marketplace as its extreamly profitable.....
the only solution is to give the whole product but also limit it...eg:30
days or something, the hard part of course is to make sure that they cant
disable it...the obvious choice is to encrypt it....but...
Maybe if we had a text file with 2 codes, one a trial one and one a "full"
one it would work(both codes in the same file)?
Eg:
The script first checks if there is a trial one and if so executes but with
a small message down saying unregistered version or something and then
checks the same file for the "full" code.........the program/s should not
run if the trial file is missing.....and maybe if we had something like 90%
of all pages referencing this file?
It will run without the "full" code but will not run without the trial code
or without no code at all....
Just a suggestion to a money
blem...:-(
As we can see from the success of Napster and other sharing networks......people love to get free
stuff that they would notmally pay for....heck...I downloaded from many p2p networks and i bet more
than half the people on this list did too.
Any answers,,,,,,you got my address and my thanks.
