Does adding ext.m4 as dependancy in the aclocal.m4 rule help?
Should be as simple as that. And you do have cvsclean too? :)
I don't think "regular" users pump into this problem that often? :)

Hey Jani,
If I modify one of the ext/gtk+/ .m4 files, the ext.m4 is updated but aclocal is not run. So those changes don't end up in the configure.

This is disturbing. We may have to involve Jani here since he knows best about these sorts of things. I can't imagine why this macro would not be found, since it is a default autoconf macro.
Jani, any ideas? I believe Markus checked out php-gtk HEAD and tried to run ./buildconf in it against the latest PHP 5.1.

Hi,
I tried getting php-gtk head running with php5 head, but it breaks at running ./buildconf:
$ ./buildconf

Zend Module Api No: 20041031
Zend Extension Api No: 220041031

configure.in:20: AC_MSG_ERROR(Cannot find php-config. Please use --with-php-config=PATH)

I tried the fix written by Andrei athttp://marc.theaimsgroup.com/?l=php-gtk-dev&m=111216704228211&w=2 but it didn't work either.
My exakt versions are is 2.13 .
Is there anything else to watch out for?
