How doCan you provide the version numbers you're using for successful php-gtk compilatin (or Andrei) ?autoconf 2.13 (the phpize part of the buildconf) autoconf 2.59 (for the rebuild part) automake 1.9.2 (for aclocal part)It works as fine with not setting PHP_AUTOCONF too..for you it's not gonna help. autoconf should point to the latest..
PHP doesn't need anything but autoconf 2.13, it doesn't use automake at all.
you switch between those parts? So you set the env variable PHP_AUTOCONF with a full path to the version?
I have PHP_AUTOCONF set to autoconf-2.13 but it would work fine with autoconf 2.59 too.
It's just faster to use 2.13 with it. (autoconf 2.5x is really SLOW)
Anyway, while writing this mail I purged automake 1.4 and installed 1.9 (I thought that 1.4 was an explicit requirement?) and the ./buildconf step did finish. I'm not stuck with the following: configure: error: PHP-GTK 2.x requires Gtk+ 2.x
Well, check config.log for the real reason?
(assuming you do have Gtk+ 2.x..)
