* Support for Gtk+ 2.8 and 2.10 * Corrected version of GtkPlug override
These I'm supposed to have reviewed yesterday... they're Elizabeth's, no?
Yep. GtkPlug slightly modified though.
So because I'm one day late you re-release an unofficial version of PHP-GTK and announce it as an official project?! And we don't have the modification offered for review either?
See archives. There's a modified library in there somewhere that's wrapped as part of Gnope's distro. The code needs to be either made public or offered back to the original author, preferably both, and it should be made clear that it's a modification. (I wasn't 'having a go' at edge for that.)
Christian should really release that code then. Now that I understand the situation; I'll leave it to Andrei to give the final word on what goes in and what doesn't. I'm not even asking for libgnome; just 2.8, 2.10, GtkSpell and GtkExtras.
GtkExtra (no 's') was requested on the list last week, and it's a trivial extension to wrap. I even asked on the dev list if you or Elizabeth could do it if you had time before I did.
Also, it would be nice to know the policy that we're going to follow from now on. If someone has something new to put into PHP-GTK does he/she: a) Commit directly if he/she can? b) Post to mailing list with tarball so that it can be "discussed", which basically means "never"? c) Provide it to the general public by other means: gnope, edge, whatever?
Anything but C, but I'll let Andrei comment on that since he's the project lead. Personally I'd ask for peer review for anything intended to go into the core and get Andrei's approval before committing a new extension or generator changes, but that's just me. - Steph
