I think b) is the option I'd prefer, even though historically you've had trouble with getting feedback. It's something that we have to work on and I promise to be more active in this area. Option c) is fine for cases where discussion on the list makes it clear that the extension/patch is not going to make it in to the main CVS tree. -Andrei
