The problem with 'C' is that people don't offer patches here, they just add them to Gnope or whatever and then expect us to support the users. Andrei, in answer to your earlier queries, I turned down a modified libary because the source wasn't made publicly available/marked as modified/offered back to the originator, so there's never been a Windows version of GtkSourceView available anywhere except via Gnope. I have no idea what other extensions are offered there because it doesn't tell you that on the site. I also don't have any access to the Gnope installer source.
Actually, the installer source is available right on the gnope site - it's just a nsis installer (open source install builder for windows), and it might be a smart idea to have an official php-gtk2 installer for windows so we don't have to say "you don't know what you're doing, go use gnope" (pygtk has one - and yes I can volunteer to help support the thing :)
Elizabeth wrote earlier to say that the GtkSourceView library now has an official win32 port which is distributed as a binary, so we can have a win32 version in the distributed binary (and the appropriate files in the CVS tree) now without any qualms whatever, but we haven't had that until today. - Steph
Gtksourceview is at 1.8.3 - windows support has been available since 1.5.5 - which was released in January of 2006 (over a year ago) the caveat there is that 1.5.5 + requires Gtk 2.8+ but I've been building against 2.8 libs just because so many windows bugs are fixed in that branch, so I've been distributing the gtksourceview extension as well - I have a working config.w32 for it I can send.
