The 1st solution uses the pear installer command:
# cd /cvsroot/pear/foo
# pear install package.xml
The 2nd solution simply links the pear cvs tree to the installation tree
using package.xml file. A script is available to do it, check the
archives, or ask it, I ll can make it available tonight.
