I don't agree at all with the statement : Macosx is not a widely used
platform. PHP is installed by default on every OS that Apple ships. This is
not the case with Microsoft AFAIK. And this is not the right way to
encourage such initiatives. Every MacOSX user is a potential PHP developer.
The tools are here and they get better each month. This is just an evidence
of ignorance of this "platform".
I won't start a flamewar about that, I just think this is a ridiculous,
discriminatory and useless statement. PHP on Macosx works just like it does
on FreeBSD or Linux.
The fact that Solaris is considered as a widely used platform is even more
laughable.
