If the term "widely used" refers to production environments only, then I am
wrong. If it refers only to development environments, then I am right. And
if it refers to both production and development, then I am right again.
A lot of developers from both PEAR and PECL are now using MacOSX to develop
(George, Shane, Jan, Marko, me and probably others). Apple shows strong
support for PHP:

Not considering this platform for PFC is a "marketing" mistake IMO.
Especially because it wouldn't be such a difficult task, with probably lots
to gain and little to loose.
