Yes - but if @desc is totally ignored one will have to add the short
description twice.
In a big project this is a pain.
Why don't you add some kind of XML template a user can adopt to his needs?
So other comment types could be inserted too.
That would solve all problems.

The userbase comment:
The phpdoc requests in the forum never got a reply from Zend.
I don't want to broaden that here cause it's OT.
But maybe it would be a good idea to add things like a todo, a changelog,...
to the ZDE. So people don't get the impression nobody listens to them ;)
