Hi! Stefan Neufeind wrote:
It would have been a simple regexp *if* PHP had package/module/namespace support on language level. In the current situation it would be a *complex* regexp to change classes, constants, include paths, whatever. Some subtle bugs can be introduced. See my "hack upon a hack" argument. BTW, if Pierre-Alain and myself have common viewpoint on something, that's a clear indication of big problems in the proposal. ;D
Alexey, sorry for the rude words but: Don't you think this is a bit arrogant? And if you meant this to be a joke I'm sure several people (including Greg, Jan and me) can't laugh about it.
The part about simple vs. complex regexp is, unfortunately, not a joke. As for the second part, it is partly a joke, partly a heads-up. I apologize if I offended anyone.
Looking at your emails sometimes seemed you just wanted to make fun of all people working on this stuff and not discuss it.
Sometimes --- maybe, but not in this thread.
