From that point of view I'm also in favor of adding it to the existing Auth_HTTP-package somehow (maybe with a slight API- modification to that package, where possible) so we don't create unnecessarily much packages. And when one day subpackages have found a way into PEAR (really hope so) then it would be a simple thing to move digest auth to a separate subpackage. My 2 cents ...
