James Stewart (http://pear.php.net/user/jystewart) has commented on the proposal for
XML::RSSBuilder2.
Comment:
I have been working on a feed parser implementation which I had hoped to
submit soon. I have been trying to decide whether or not to extend it to
support building feeds. I'd be interested to see if merging these two
packages would make sense.
Could you supply a link to a php source file? I'd like to have a look at
your code but don't want to have to install a package to do so.
Atom 1.0 is very close to completion. Without seeing your code I don't
know if it will be easy to add support for the new spec, but it would be a
shame if it weren't.
On a pedantic note, I know there are various explanations of what RSS
stands for but "Reach Site Summary" isn't, afaik, a common one. For
promoting this package you'd be better off using "Really Simple
Syndication" Beyond that, however, the use of the name RSSBuilder for a
package that will produce Atom and OPML is misleading. How's about
something more generic such as XML_FeedBuilder?
