Ah now you misunderstood what I was trying to say :)
I was just trying to say that whatever method used its needs to stay
transparent. I think it is quite possible to make your method
transparent.
Does make sense to give people more deeply involved more "units" per
vote.
I do not have enough experience with PEAR or mailing lists in general to
really know the dangers. I will just list 2 which I am just throwing out
there and that you all can dismiss :-)
1. People that want to get into PEAR might be drawn away from the
hierarchy
2. People will come up with little criticism here and there about how
much what level of involvement should give
Anyways those 2 points are minor points that should maybe get addressed
by a nice explanation of the voting system and the why it is the way it
is (once it is put into place)
