Today I've finished implementing Michael Gauthier's notes, meaning the
class is not abstract anymore and now has a private constructor to
avoid instantiation. It also has class constants now.

It's still static though. Because in my eyes, instantiating the daemon
class could potentially lead to problems since it has such a big
impact on the calling process (it kills it ;).
