We can't work with them on this - CentOS 4 is 4.3, they have CentOS 6
and it's more recent, even v5 went PHP 5 IIRC
They take the same approach as RHEL, there will be no upgrade of
versions outside the bugfix number which would be the last one, 4.3.x
PEAR 1.7 will continue to work fine with the servers tho as any
version down to 1.4 should actually do, so what will fail for them is
a upgrade of PEAR it self but everything else will continue to
function - I can announce it but 2 - 3 months is a bit long time
especially given my statement before that 1.7 will continue to work
fine for those people, I could mention that in my "announcement" to
pear-general since pear-dev already knows about this.
Anyone else got idea where I should announce it ? A blog seems a bit
too much but hmm..
