Hi there In our company we are using xslt (sablotron) for generating our webpages. Unfortunately this parsing is quite slow, so i wrote this little class, which does cache the generated output in a directory. I got the idea from a phpbuilder article ("Controlling PHP Output: Caching and compressing dynamic pages" <http://www.phpbuilder.net/columns/argerich20010125.php3>, only the caching part) and extended it to log some stuff in a database, to get an easier track, if the page changed or not. There are actually 2 modules. One with the DB stuff and one without. Documentation is absolutely missing at the moment and i didn't check the PEAR standards till now, but i hope i can do that tomorrow. If you want to have a look, including a very small sample file (as you can see in that, it's really easy to integrate caching with this modules), go to http://www.nomad.ch/php and download the files. Any feedback is very welcome. You need the pear stuff from the cvs (see http://www.php.net/anoncvs.php for details, or download pearDBcvs.tgz from the site and extract it in the appropriate place), since numrows for mysql is only supported with that. And, I only tested it with mysql.... BTW, the DB-abstraction of PEAR since to be much slower than the one from phplib. Just as a comment. that's it and the documentation will come very soon, promised. watch the website :) chregu -- >> NOMAD MEDIA CORPORATION AG >> christian stocker >> e-mail: chregu@nomad.ch >> schöneggstrasse 5 >> mobile: +41 76 561 88 60 >> ch-8004 zürich >> office: +41 1 240 23 04 >> web: http://www.nomad.ch >> fax : +41 1 240 23 71
