In our company we are using xslt (sablotron) for generating our webpages.
Unfortunately this parsing is quite slow, so i wrote this little class,
which does cache the generated output in a directory. I got the idea from
a phpbuilder article ("Controlling PHP Output: Caching and compressing
dynamic pages" <http://www.phpbuilder.net/columns/argerich20010125.php3>,
only the caching part) and extended it to log some stuff in a database, to
get an easier track, if the page changed or not.
there alreay is a very nice caching class (with SHM support) in PEAR/cache,
maybe you want to extend its functionality or create another class relying on this one...?
If you want to have a look, including a very small sample file (as you can
see in that, it's really easy to integrate caching with this modules), go
to http://www.nomad.ch/php and download the files. Any feedback is very
welcome.
if they had the extension .phps we could :)
