This project has always been open source from the beginning at http://sqlsrvphp.codeplex.com. We would like this extension to follow the existing PECL extension development and release process by hosting and maintaining the source code on pecl.php.net in the read-only repository, just like some other PECL extensions.
Ashay, I think you and your team have fulfilled all requirements documented today for PECL submissions. I am sure users will profit from the extensions and appreciate to find documentation at php.net. I'm confident you are comitted to maintain the code. And, it is out of question that it is useful for people! There is one detail that I feel uncomfortable with: read-only. Todays PECL documentation/guidelines do not explicity forbid read-only repositories. For me open source can hardly go together with any kinds of burdens to contribute source, unless there is a very good reason. Maybe you could elaborate why PECL should host read-only code to which developers cannot(?) easily(?) contribute. Thanks, Ulf
