Except that's not at all what Kristian is talking about. While going with Kristian's approach, you would kill PHP in the way. What you'll end up with is not 'much more than a scripting language to create dynamic web pages', but rather, something that is *NOT* a scripting language to create dynamic web pages, but something else.
I think it will kill PHP if you take away any (great) possibility to evolve
I could tell my child not to grow up, but I think I would not have any success with it, rather it will be very disappointing if I tell him(her) that I do not want him to visit a university although he is a smart guy
I do not say "morph php into a full-fledged-load-balancing-clustering-whatever-app-server" but "be open minded to new ideas"
