I love the judgments that everyone is making about people's heads being up
their nether regions because "you don't do it exactly the way I do." Geez,
this is worse than fundamentalist Christian chat rooms, people.
As an example:

Thanks for the judgment on my skills. I do all HTML writing and PHP coding
by hand in Emacs. I see no trouble with it. I'm used to it, and I get the
job done very quickly. I don't see any reason to switch to another product
that I have to pay out the ass for to do the job. If you have the money and
a clean conscience, use Dreamweaver and Homesite if you want. Just don't
criticize us hand-coders who can put up just as clean and practical a
product by hand.
And to all of my fellow purists, let's not criticize those brought up in the
GUI world -- who feel that using a WYSIWYG editor helps productivity (or
whatever reasons they have). To each his own. And in the end, the best
developers will get the best jobs (hopefully).
