This is one of the reason why I some times want CPAN in a trash can. The
problem is not of turning some things on or of. The problem is to compile
c-modules for the webserver. At the moment I can use PEAR classes only by
coping the files. If important parts are only avaible in C you need to compile
it. If your ISP running Solaris, a lot people run in trouble, because the most
people havn't access to solaris machine. Remember at least, there are a lot of
PHP-Programers using Windows out there.
