I guess something to remember from that would have been to make another
release immediately after. This would have fixed the issue right away. It
often happens, you see Package_XYZ 1.0 then 5 minutes later 1.0.1 is out :)
That said, it would be cool to have the pear installer to not update a
stable version if the new one is a beta.
