Hi, > As far as the inline doc's at this point being sufficient. > They may be > for you... but now let's take little Johnny who is just > starting off in > PHP and was looking into parsing an XML file he uses for his resume. > Johnny finds out PEAR has several XML libraries which may be > of use to > him. Now Johnny needs to find out the stats of his xml file, > specifically number of tags, white spaces, etc. So he decides to use > XML_Statistics. Problem is, Johnny is new to PHP and can't assume as > much as Mr. Borzov can, and thus XML_Statistics is complicated to him. If you are able to understand the package and think that total newbies should be able to use this, why don't you start contributing and write tutorials for packages you have already some. BTW: I still think a newbie should be able to understand the docs in XML_Statistics. What do you expect a method with the name countTag() to do? And what is so hard to understand in the parameter description "if no tag name is supplied, all tags are counted"? Where do you want me to start with the documentation? Should I explain what a tag is? That's not the job of XML_Statistics! Stephan
