This will be my last posting for this thread, as it's the same over and
over again.
1. I promised to extend documentation after the package is approved.
2. This is open source, why don't you just include docs in the source I
made available and sent it back to me? I'm maintaining several packages,
I'm trying to add as many examples and docs as possible and react as
fast as possible. I even wrote an article on PEAR's XML classes for the
next issue of the German PHP magazine and I'm currently workng on a
tutorial about XML_Serializer which will be published in a future issue
of PHP architect. So I've got a lot of work to do and not willing to put
anymore effort in writing documentation for novice users if I'm not sure
if they will be able to use the package. A proposal is a
work-in-progress and not something that's ready to be shipped to
everybody.
Most proposals contain a link to the source code. At least I extracted
the API doc, put some examples online and even provided an alpha version
that's ready to be installed using pear install. That shows that I'm not
just throwing in some code, but want to contribute in a sensible way and
feel that I'm responsible for maintaining my work.
What I expected from you was either some detailed examples what
should/could have been added and not just some 'make it more detailed'
or event a patch which would add docs to the class. The least I was
expecting was that you would trust my word that I'd add documentation,
as I'm doing this for all my packages.
If you'd have used all the time we wasted on this thread to write a
tutorial for XML_Statistics, we would have perfect docs for it and you
would have the first package listed in your profile.
