Just some links There are tools for doing indenting, etc. http://www.phpedit.net/products/phpCodeBeautifier/ http://www.bierkandt.org/beautify/ http://www.beautifier.org/ Then there are add-in scripts for vim to generate simple phpdoc-style tags (PDocS): http://www.vim.org/scripts/script.php?script_id=520 (look also at taglist.vim and the 'php collection') There are even tools that can generate an UML diagram from your code (an viceversa): Autodia dia2code umbrello and xmi2code We have discussed about these tools before (and I remember mentioning them before too). Check out slides 18 and up from http://conf2.php.net/show/sdphp_using_tools/18
Thanks Jesus, these were the tools I was talking about. You bookmarks are much better managed than mine ;) As I don't use vim, nor any other well known PHP IDE, the suggested solutions won't help. What I would love is a PHPDoc comments generator/beautifier for my code, so that I'll just need to fill the placeholders for parameters, description and so on. But if I understood correctly, Greg will integrate this in PHPDocumentor 2.1 :) Bertrand Mansion Mamasam I also have a perl script someone sent me that tosses in the blank docblocks, i've never used but the author was using it, let me know if you want to take a look and i'll get permission to toss it online somewhere.
