Then again those plans are rather elaborate. So they will take time. At the same time I am hesitant to add another package in this area. Remember we also have QueryTool (which also has a new version in the works). At the same time your package is very real and sounds like it could solve user problems. I guess in a perfect world we would all be working on the one true solution. Well this world isn't perfect, so we all seem to be approaching the issue from several sides. I am not sure if this will provide an ultimate benefit for the users by giving more choice or if it will lead to now people being confused about which if the zillion DB package to big from (well we already have that confusion we would only make it worse). Anyways I will ponder. I can't promise a date when my stuff will be ready. I can promise that it would be early of competent people would join the effort of course :-) So all in all its quite unfair to say no to a package because of stuff that are not available. However MDB 2.x is really close. The only reason I have not released it is that I am waiting for improvements in the PEAR installer. At that point MDB will be loads simpler and also a port of DataObject in the current form would be trivial. Regards, Lukas
