Oh, now I realize the full extend of this problem. Before this email
I would have said "including PEAR.php on demand now is not a big
thing". However, you are right that actually extending from PEAR
might have a big impact. Therefor I'd also favor to have it as a new
major version. Chuck, can you think of any other additions, API-
cleanups or things like that? If yes, now you have the chance to do
so :-))
