I was just going off of what you had said in your last post. I've never
looked at Net_Socket before and haven't examined what bugs were fixed, so
perhaps I misunderstand the situation. Here's what I was thinking...
Version 1.0.2 had bugs. You fixed them. While fixing them, you also made
things more efficient by not inculding PEAR.php until an error is raised.
It sounded like it might be helpful to have two releases. 1.0.3 that just
fixes the bugs and 2.0.0 that fixes the bugs and only includes PEAR.php
upon errors.
