It would also require all of the packages that depend on Net_Socket to
have to be updated to require 'Net/Socket2.php' for any future bug
fixes that aren't merged back into the Net_Socket(1) release tree.
Creating a new major release for something this minor is overkill.
I'd rather just see the change reverted.
