Not really. If there's a manual entry for it, people will want to use it if it's of use to them.
I did a first stable release of HTTP_Client on 2004-06-11 and in the next 5 days it was downloaded more times than the previous version in 1.5 months.
Lots of people check for upgrades. A jump in downloads normally happens when a package is released. Regardless of whether it's stable or not. Klaus
