I agree with you. My plan was to carefully try to bring the maintainers of Graphite and Image_Graph together after the end of the proposal to see what they think.Am I wrong or has the Graphite package a completly different purpose than Image_Graph. AFAIK Graphite generates kinds of ASCII art from real images and Graph generates visualizations from data.
