I'm curious about the status of Jesus Castagnetto's Math_Matrix package
as well - one of the important steps in going from GPS data to a
projected map is to transform, rotate, or scale the points to match a
given coordinate system, and matrix transformations are the preferred
way of doing this.
Is Math_Matrix on the road to a 1.0 release?
[...snip...]
Have you encountered a bug in Math_Matrix. AFAIK the only one that has been
reported was #884, and that was a PEAR QA requested changed in view of the
change in the behavior of get_class().
No, I've not found any bugs - just curious.
Is it poor PEAR practice to have one package depend on another that is not at 1.0 yet? I'd like to have the output scaling/rotation/translation be a built-in feature of the Map_Projection core at some point in the future, since it would help transparency and calculation of the inverse functions.
