It's best to install PEAR outside of your document root, as long as you can use .htaccess to set the include_path or get your host to add the directory into the include_path. I'd use /opt/guide/pear. Keep me posted, I'm very interested to see if we can remove all warnings in safe mode and get it working. Greg
