My money is on an installation question, which I find pretty useless for the
rest of us here. You should know that people have installed the non-beta 3.x
series on a TON of different platforms quite successfully. If this *IS* an
installation problem, it's probably your fault, not the software's.
Might I also add that you should file a bug if there is a real problem.
I also hope you are paying for a support contract or have donated before
emailing Zeev and crew personally. In the end, if they have to hold the
hands of the hundreds of thousands of users who are using PHP, they and we
wouldn't get anywhere. That's what these mailing lists are for. Why not post
your question here?
If this is not an installation, 'how do I get this running' type question,
then PLEASE ask your questions on the list. Innovative and interesting uses
of PHP and other modules is what I enjoy reading this list for.
And yes, public domain software is FREE. Free in cost, but also FREE FOR YOU
TO FIX. You can look at every command php and apache execute if you'd like.
You don't even need to email zeev to get something fixed. If you want to be
able to call someone up, you should pay to call someone up. There are enough
cheap basterds out there who want to both use free software, and then expect
full personal support beyond the excellent support hundreds of sites,
message boards and mailing lists provide. Often they are clueless.
So ask your questions here... And if you want to be able to call anyone up
and be sure and get a response? Hire them.
I hate to do this, but when I see people with 'Big Clients' who are doing
'Big Projects' I often see 'Big Attitude' comming along.
BTW, there are a TON of websites that describe how to do Authorization in a
number of ways. Forms, Apache Auth, etc... Again, describe your problem
here.
