I'm not going to contribute any more to this thread, except to
say that I did not realize that the package is no longer supported
by Zeev - I was not around when he made the announcement,
and it doesn't say anything on the mod_auth_mysql web page
or in the docs included in the tarball. Had I realized this to
be the case, I wouldn't have made such a fuss in the first
place.
